Nick Holden

Founder & CEO

Nick Holden is an inventor, design engineer and visionary. As the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Modular Wall Systems™, Nick pioneered composite panel technology that has revolutionised the wall and fence industry.

With thorough technical acumen and a passion for progress and perfection, Nick drives the product development and manufacturing process for all business units under the Modular Innovations umbrella.

Nick’s philosophy is based on invention and improvement and stems from his manufacturing and machine building background. A high end automotive technician by trade, Nick has learnt from the ground up. Back in 2005 he appeared on the ABC program The New Inventors with the first, masonry alternate, freestanding modular wall. Since that time, Nick has continued to create new and improved products that respond to our clients needs or identified gaps in traditional markets.

Nick’s inventive mantra provides constant motivation and inspiration. His vision that we are creating tomorrows innovations, today is ethos for the company and their products and brands. Making high performing, acoustically rated, cost effective products accessible to everybody to improve their lifestyles, and quality of life continues to shape the companies culture and motivation.

Jason Harvey

General Manager, Executive Director

Jason has been an integral member of the Executive team since 2010 and acted as General Manager since September 2014. He has previously held Senior Management positions including, Director of Sales & Marketing and Group Sales & Marketing Manager roles in high growth companies. His array of experience extends from Manufacturing and Construction to Business Services and Transport industries.

Always pushing a growth mandate Jason has successfully completed mergers and acquisitions in this pursuit, and launched the disruptive web platform couriersandfreight.com.au in 2009, demonstrating his forward thinking approach.

A highly trusted General Manager he is fully responsible for the entire day-to-day running of the business. With strong ethics, high standards and customer focus his strategic approach maximizes existing revenue streams, loyalty to the brand and develops new opportunities. His passion to successfully implement commercial models, sales systems and marketing innovation in diverse and changing environments is well regarded.

Motivated and determined, Jason is a confident leader that has proven performance in assembling, developing and encouraging teams to achieve results.

Jason Cachia

Non-Executive Chairman

Jason joined as Chairman in November 2015 following the recent investment by Evolve Private Capital – a leading growth fund which invests in fast growing private businesses. Evolve was attracted to Modular Innovations due to its strong market position, innovative product range, scalable manufacturing operations, and desire to expand production capacity to satisfy strong demand from commercial, industrial, infrastructure and residential customers.

Jason established Evolve Private Capital in September 2015 following a successful career in Private Equity and Investment Banking, including over 7 years with Quadrant Private Equity (Australia’s leading private equity fund). Jason has held various Board Directorships on companies across multiple industries including retail, industrial, media, aged care and diversified investments.

Jason is also on the Board of AVCAL (Australian industry body representing Venture Capital and Private Equity), and is Chairman of the AVCAL Growth Fund Committee.

While at Quadrant, Jason led the investment in APN Outdoor Media which was awarded 2015 best private equity deal in its size category, with prior investments including Summerset, Quick Service Restaurants and Kathmandu. Prior to Quadrant, Jason was a senior investment banker with ABN AMRO and JP Morgan, following an earlier career at PWC which he joined in 1992.

Michael Derin

Non-Executive Director

Michael Derin has over 25 years of experience as a Corporate Advisor and more recently CEO across Asia-Pacific with a track record of leading multi-million dollar projects to success. In 2002 Michael founded Azure Group, a commercially focused Chartered Accounting firm that now has offices in Sydney and Shanghai. Michael has also been a pioneer in the Virtual CFO movement in Australia and founded CFO Australia Consulting in 2005, offering part time and interim strategic financial solutions for growing SME business.

Michael is the Lead Corporate Advisor at independent advisory firm Verde Group, which sees him exercise his commercial aptitude by assisting with acquisitions, divestments, IPOs and other strategic corporate advisory services.

He was the Financial Advisor and Company Secretary on the Government Board of Greater Sydney Partnership Pty Ltd and has been a Lead Advisor on business acquisitions, sale and merger transactions, including the $40m sale of Spreets to Yahoo!7, the sale of healthcare retail chain Platinum Earcare, the demerger of Tabcorp Holdings and the sale of NDC Automation to Dematic.

In addition to his position with Modular Innovations, Michael is also a Board member of The CEO Magazine as well as Not for Profit, The Ocean Agency, and is a Director and secretary for a number of international companies. Michael is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia; Member of the Institute of Company Directors; and Member of Chartered Secretaries Australia.
